 Balboa Park is the sort of Central Park of San Diego -- it's where
you'll find the zoo, several museums, and this great playground. We could spin Eddie

 Eddie and Nika spent alot of time on this zip-line sort of thing,
trying to make an end-to-end trip. Pretty tricky as it dipped own in the middle. |

late morning cruise of the south harbor took us past several Navy yards, including this
ship that carries Harrier jump jets (take off vertically like a helicopter). |
 The
comics industry conference "ComicCon" was in town. Bart Simpson only
wishes he had as good a sense of humor as Eddie! |
 Lunch
at "Croce's", owned by the family of musician Jim Croce, was the highlight of
our trip to the gaslamp district. |
 A
bike ride on Coronado Island came next. The girls enjoyed riding in the front of a 4
person bike and actually claimed they were tired afterward! (No they didn't have
pedals :-) |
 No
