the drive from Lake Michigan to Grandy's we took lots of back roads, including a route
through Toledo that brought us past the original Jeep plant. |
 From
what I recall, this factory grew huge during the 40's to supply jeeps to World War II.
Other factories around the country built them as well, but this, I think, was the
main plant. |
 It's
always fun to stay with Grandy & Papa Bill, especially playing in the "secret
room" (play room accessible through bedroom closet). Unfortunately a dead
camera battery kept us from getting photos of visitors Aunt Susie, Uncle Dale, Katie, and
Aunt Barb. |
 The
ice cream truck didn't come this night, so Dad filled in, handing out treats and blasting
music from the minivan :-D |
