Eddie and Dad greatly enjoyed a trip to Summit Point Raceway for the
annual "Blue/Gray Challenge", a race with members of the northeast &
southeast regions of the Vintage Sports Car Club of America. |
We
camped in the track's infield and awoke to the sweet sounds and smells of racecars in the
morning. The sounds of party'ers during the night was entertaining as well ;-) |
Eddie
and Dad named the dirt roads we took to get to the campsite -- Rock Road, Bumpy Road, and
Mountain Road :) |
Our tent, on loan from friend Giancarlo, was fun to setup &
takedown together. We also fascinated at the millions of stars visible at night. |
We
played Pokemon while watching the race. |
Dad
was the loser! |
The best
thing about a vintage race is seeing & hearing a great variety of cars on & off
the track. Dad would rather see one in its element than 100 in a museum. |
